Real Estate FAQs

Pre-licensing courses are for those who are starting their journey in real estate and need to meet the requirements to obtain their license. Post-licensing courses are for newly licensed agents to complete additional required education. Continuing education courses are for licensed agents to stay current with industry trends and fulfill state requirements for license renewal.

The length of time to complete a pre-licensing course depends on the state requirements. For example, the Arkansas Real Estate Commission requires 60 hours for salespersons, while the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission requires 90 hours for provisional sales. Online courses can be completed at your own pace, while in-person courses typically have 6 months to complete..

Yes, Advantage Real Estate Academy offers both online and in-person courses. Our online courses, provided in partnership with VanEd (360 training) in Oklahoma and The CE Shop in Arkansas, allows you to learn at your own pace and are designed to prepare you for the state exams.

Advantage Real Estate Academy offers one-to-one tutoring for enrolled students. We also have study groups available, both in-person and via our online classroom, to provide additional support and ensure you succeed in your real estate career.

Attendance is crucial for learning the course material. For Continuing Education classes, if you are more than 10 minutes late after the class begins, you will not receive credit for that class.. For online classes, you must be visible to the instructor at all times and will be required to participate in the course discussion with the students in the classroom..

This package is ideal for individuals who have previously attended a real estate course at another school, but who have not yet passed the pre-license exam. It is also suitable for those who feel they need additional review and support to succeed.

In Arkansas, a newly licensed broker must complete the 30 classroom hour AREC post-licensure course within six months after the date of initial licensure. Additionally, those requesting status as an Executive or Principal Broker must complete this post-licensure requirement before such status is granted.  In Oklahoma, brokers do not have a Broker Post License Course.  Instead, they begin working towards their license CE requirement, which includes completing a fifteen hour Broker in Charge course and six hours in Contract Forms education.  All remaining nine hours may be completed in elective or required categories.
